After three years of research, Focal proposes a combination of exclusive technologies: the marriage of Beryllium, with the latest generation of IAL3 tweeter, and Flax, for the midrange and bass drivers. The result? A precise, detailed sound, full of warmth and musicality! A new era begins for sound lovers... It surprises from the first moments of listening by the extension of the frequency response in the bass compared to its dimensions. When placed in an enclosed space or near a wall, foam can be inserted in the port to further optimize the bass. Another strong element of the line: its bold look that completes this acoustic work of art with a resolutely modern and disruptive design! The front finishes, lacquered or matte, allow different combinations. So many different styles that will satisfy everyone's taste. Kanta becomes a real trendy design object, the star of your interior.

Everything is worked to bring softness and warmth to the sound: density and rigidity of the materials of the front and the shell, soft angles and a double vent. A new material, favorable to the acoustic parameters, is used for the facade. It is molded from a single block of high density polymer (HDP): this material offers increased performance: it is 70% denser than MDF, 15% more rigid and offers 25% more damping. The one-piece front design eliminates sound diffraction. Kanta incorporates Power Flow technology with two vents, one on the front and one on the back, to reduce bass compression.

For the first time, a speaker with a Flax sandwich membrane is associated with a Beryllium tweeter! Flax meets the requirements of the equation: low mass / stiffness / damping, which results in clarity and precision of sound. This unique Flax / Beryllium combination gives the music an incredible warmth and musicality. Made in France and patented, the flax membrane has already proven itself in Focal home and car speakers. The midrange driver features the TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) suspension and all Kanta drivers are also equipped with the NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) motor, which stabilizes the magnetic field for a perfectly defined sound and a better controlled bass.

Distortion is the enemy Focal's research is oriented towards reducing distortion in all registers, which in music is the enemy of emotion. With Kanta, the high register is restored by a brand new tweeter made of pure Beryllium. This IAL 3 tweeter combines the principles of IAL (Infinite Acoustic Loading) and IHL (Infinite Horn loading) tweeters, both of which optimize the acoustic loading at the back of the tweeter diaphragm.

The engineers have renewed their choice of "Focus Time", which corrects the alignment of the drivers, which are thus at the same distance from the ear. The rear shell of the cabinet is made of a single piece of molded wood. The Zamac base also adds a lot of character. With its spikes and cups, the base provides great stability for a very small footprint.

Final details: the glass plate on top and the magnetic fabric holders. When removed, they reveal the linen membrane of the drivers, the ultimate design touch that gives Kanta its unique look!

Many combinations will fit in with any decorating style. The back shell is available in High Gloss Black lacquer and Walnut veneer. For each, two front colors can be combined, in two finishes. With the black High Gloss shell: two Carrara White and Black Lacquer fronts in High Gloss finish. With the wood finish shell: two fronts Ivory and White in matte finish.
