Naim Audio Power-Line Electrical Connectors

The Power-Line cable is an incredibly effective, yet simple and easy to use product, capable of maximizing the musicality of the majority of different boxes and electronic components.

Technology and Construction

The Power-Line plug features a thermoset resin housing with floating pins, which align to improve the contact area with the plug connections. Bare cable ends are held in place by specially profiled locking screws and the cable is both decoupled and secured by an ingenious die-cast component.

The Power-Line cable itself is custom made with 4mm² cross-sectional copper conductors, individual dielectric insulation and an outer rubber jacket providing good levels of mechanical damping and suitable stiffness, to facilitate preparation of the cable for installation.

The Power-Line cable is completed with an IEC plug that incorporates many of the electrical decoupling and continuity features of the main plug. It is equipped with floating contacts, a combined decoupling and fixing mechanism, double sliding contacts and an eddy current suppressor.
