TECHNOLOGY The NAC 202 takes the technical and musical performance of our preamplifier line to a whole new level, with a stylish new look. Low-resonance circuit boards and resonance-limiting feet minimize the effect of microphonic vibrations on highly sensitive electronics, while precision rotary potentiometers with precious metal sliders ensure that long-term musical integrity and stability are maintained. Intelligent balance control combines a high-quality motorized potentiometer for optimum performance with an intelligent circuit that indicates the center position. The NAC 202 also features a silent microprocessor that goes into standby mode during listening and controls all aspects of the amplifier, including: protection circuitry that continuously monitors power supplies to ensure safe shutdown in the event of a power failure; and a user-configurable "Smart IR" remote control for easy control of the Naim system.
