Technology and Manufacturing

Each of the SuperCap's many power outputs is based on Naim's specially designed discrete regulators for optimum performance. The SuperCap can be used to power all audio preamplifiers (except the NAC 552 and NAC-N 172 XS), Superline phono stages and Naim active crossovers. It is the only power supply option for the NAC 252 preamplifier. Its resonance-limiting anti-vibration feet complement the elegant new cast and extruded anti-magnetic chassis to protect sensitive internal components from resonance and microphonic vibration. A new version of the SuperCap was released in 2012, the culmination of a two-year project to develop a new discrete regulator (DR) dedicated to Naim power supplies. In addition to improvements in cable routing, Naim's new DR features mechanical decoupling and internal rearrangement. These enhancements, developed through extensive listening tests, dramatically increase performance for more communicative music and unparalleled musical enjoyment.
